Get a head-start in radio ... be a WJBR INTERN!

WJBR is looking for a new team of interns to join us for the Fall ’09 semester! An internship with WJBR will allow students to explore the many different aspects of the radio industry. At the end of the semester interns will have a portfolio of their work to take with them and many new skills to add to their resume.

Marketing and Promotions

- Travel the Delaware area with the Promotions Department as they take WJBR on location during Live Remote Broadcasts and Community Events

- Work with the Marketing Department on the planning and execution of the station events

- Learn valuable Public Relations skills while assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Marketing/Promotions Department

- Learn Database Management and its importance to keeping the station organized

Programming

- Learn the technical aspects of the on-air studio by observing and working with the WJBR deejays

- Assist the News Director with news stories and reports

- Assist Production director by helping write copy and putting together commercials … you might even be able to help voice commercials so your friends can hear you on the radio!

Sales and Web

- Learn valuable Sales techniques while working onsite with an Account Executive

- Come up with promotional and sales ideas and learn how to put together a proposal to take your concept from idea to an actual promotion

- Create web banners and graphics for the WJBR website, help upload pictures and learn how to shoot and edit video

WJBR is dedicated to making a student’s internship both an educational and enjoyable experience. We are very flexible with hours and day, and are willing to work out a schedule with each individual student to fit their needs. Students will get to try out all the above mentioned opportunities, but we are willing to let you concentrate on what you are most interested in.
