DELILAH
Delilah
Try turning off the TV tonight and listening Delilah on the radio - a wonderful way to relax and unwind after a hectic day. Every weeknight from 7pm to Midnight, Delilah weaves your telephone calls and letters, talk-radio style, together with a romantic mix of Today's Hits and Yesterday's Favorites. On Sunday, Delilah features a best-of show, featuring the most requested songs and compelling listener stories.

Unlike traditional love song shows, where the host would take your name and request, Delilah wants to know your story. Why do you want to hear that song? What does it mean to you? Who do you love? What qualities does your loved one have that you most cherish? Delilah and her crew help you to slow down and refocus on the "loves" in your life: the relationships that make life worth living.

Delilah is a full-time mother who often shares her family stories via the airwaves. Her multicultural family is the center of her life, and that's reflected nightly on her show. In addition to sharing stories of her family, Delilah also dispenses advice and shares wisdom nightly. Shes does not pretend to be a Ph.D. Most of what she shares is based on real-life experiences. When she consoles a woman who lost a family member to terminal illness, it's not with the slant of a licensed grief counselor, but with the heart of an orphaned daughter, who has lost both parents to cancer and emphysema. When a woman calls to play a song for her married lover, Delilah counsels her to stay away from extra-marital affairs, based on her own experience with dysfunctional relationships.

"I made just about every mistake a person could make before God came into my heart," Delilah offers. "If some of those painful experiences can help someone avoid the same mistakes I made, then perhaps my heartache was not totally in vain."

The show is not just an advice show, Delilah points out. "Even on the calls where I'm giving my opinion, I try to end on an audio hug." Listeners respond with their own hugs. This show is a place where listeners come together as a community. There are quick to comfort each other with encouragement and sometimes even material support. Delilah has often been amazed at the kindness her listeners have extended to each other.
