* JIM STODDARD

A grizzled radio veteran, Jim has been on the air in Wilmington since 1976 and has the scars to prove it. Ever involved in the community, this local lad has been drafted to MC hundreds of events including the Beautiful Babies contest at Battery Park in New Castle, in which over 100 babies were judged on personality and being bouncy and beautiful. It's part of the annual Separation Day festivities which Jim has hosted since 1988. An Easter Seals fundraiser at the Grand Opera House featured Jim's bloated form in a tux on stage as thousands of dollars were raised to send handicapped kids and adults to summer camp.  He was MC for the last Friday Night Concert at the fabled Stone Balloon in Newark

As an actor Jim has seen his film career end up on the cutting room floor with many of his best performances turned into guitar picks by Hollywood producers and directors. But some films did somehow allow his moon-shaped face to end up on the screen, including "Dead Poets Society", "Working Girl", and "Clear and Present Danger?". Recent film outings included a Nicholas Cage film called "Snake Eyes" and "Celebrity" starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kenneth Brannaugh. Jim and Leonardo played slots together at Trump Castle between scenes.

 Jim is host of the Chester County Academic Competition and has been the MC for the matches since 1986.  He also hosts regional tournaments around the State of Pennsylvania from Philly to Pittsburgh and Erie to Easton.  Then the season concludes with the exciting Pennsylvania Academic Championships in Harrisburg with matches conducted on the floor of the State House and televised statewide.  He also speaks at numerous career days at schools and reads to kids at local elementary schools, which is really a load of fun!

Jim was nominated for a Golden Globe award for "Dead Poets Society" as most expressive shoulder of the year, which was about all that ended up in the movie. TV appearances have included "Law and Order" and "Homicide-Life On The Street". Plus, he has been seen all over the country hosting promotions for HBO, Cinemax and The Disney Channel.  His recent commercials have included national outings for VISA and Campbells Chunky Soup on NFL telecasts and radio spots for Butterball Fresh Chicken.

Yet Jim remains in Wilmington and remains defiant. "Nobody's going to kick me upstairs, doggone it; I need to suffer some more!". And so it goes. E-mail Jim at info@wjbr.com

  * RAY DEVINE

After 26 years as a Mobil DJ doing weddings and private parties all over the tri-state area, and still going, I decided in the winter of 06 to try my hand at radio.  As a kid I had a love for radio.  You couldn't pry me away from my favorite station, which at that time in the early 80's was Hot Hits 98 in Philly.  That station is now long gone, but I still had that vision of being on the radio.  Now many years later here I am at WJBR. You can hear me normally on weekend mornings and every so often you may see me out and about during station events and promotions.

On my time off I enjoy going to a Phillies game (in season), a good movie, working out (I know it doesn't look it), and even a relaxing stroll in the park with my dog Natasha. When I have time to watch a little TV, I’ll catch the latest episodes of American Chopper, Myth Busters, Grey's Anatomy and Deal or no Deal. I own a very large collection of movies and music from the 80’s, especially the hard to find stuff.  I also volunteer my spare time at the Brandywine School Districts Broadcast learning center teaching high school students the art of how to be a party and radio DJ (Scary isn’t it)

I was born and raised in Philadelphia and now reside in Media PA.  I am looking to settle down, find a home and start a family right here in the first state, (I'll keep you posted on the progress of that one).

I’m a local boy born and raised in Gibbstown, New Jersey.

I started in radio in the late 90’s. My radio career has taken me to Atlantic City, Wilmington, De, Florence and Columbia Sc, and most recently back to Wilmington in 2004. This is where I call home, but I sure miss the shrimp and grits.

I am married to my wife Jessica. We have one child - Tristen my stepson, he loves John Cena from the WWE.

When I’m not on the radio: I like to read, go fishing with my dad, listen to music, surf the internet, and in the summer you can find me soaking up the sun at the beach or the nearest pool. (I’m a sun worshiper)

Favorite TV shows include Law and Order: SVU, Flip That House, Two and a Half Men, Shark and Re-runs of George Lopez on Nick at Nite.

I live by this: You Can’t Stop the Waves... But, You Can Always Learn to Surf…

Thanks for making me part of your weekend.
